Equipped with dual microphones, Armor Acoustics discreetly captures ambient sound, transmitting it directly to your wired headphones for a seamless and natural listening experience. The adjustable volume control lets you fine-tune your hearing, whether you’re in a loud convention hall or an intense bounty hunt.

Note: Armor Acoustics was designed to be installed on the left side of the helmet that is why the left microphone wiring is shorter for that side. If you would like it made for the right side make sure you select the proper box when adding to your cart. You can always shoot us a message as well. If you need longer or shorter wire lengths for the microphones leave a comment or shoot us an email with the length(s) you need and we can probably make it happen.

 

 

Installation:

The Armor Acoustics module comes pre-made and all-together as one piece, with an optional strip of hook and loop (velcro) attached and a few adhesive backed zip-tie anchors for strapping down the wiring. The only installation required is adding it into your helmet, which is going to be different for everyone.

• Simply peel back the adhesive on the hook and loop strip and place it in a good spot inside your helmet.
• Place the microphones in a good spot, if you cannot hide them more extensively they can be placed near the bottom of the helmet on the inside and they should work well enough.
• Use the zip-tie anchors to hold the microphones in place, route the cabling through your helmet and secure it using the remaining anchors. Hot glue also works really well.
• Simply plug in your headphones into the Armor Acoustics module and the USB connector into a 5v DC USB power bank and turn the volume knob. You should feel and hear a click when turning on and off. Adjust the volume to your preference.

 

NOTE: Some USB battery banks require a specific power draw to stay on/enabled. The power draw of the Armor Acoustics module is very low, so low that it may not be enough to keep these types of power banks on. To ensure proper operation it is best to use the Armor Acoustics with a USB power bank with an on/off switch.
