What is the LED Energy Cell?

The LED Energy Cell was designed by Grit and Beskar to fit the Galactic Armory Westar 88. It may or may not fit other various by other makers – we have not tested any other blaster than the Galactic Armory Westar 88. It is designed to fit the blaster when printer at 100% scale. It should fit either FDM or UV Resin printed blasters. The tolerances are tight. In some cases light sanding may be necessary to facilitate smooth Energy Cell swaps.

Green: approx. 13-22hrs
Yellow: approx. 12-21hrs
Blue: approx. 6-16hrs
White: approx. 6-16hrs

*this is an approximation of battery runtime.

Powering the Energy Cell

Powering the LED Energy Cell requires the use of (2) two SR44, or Duracell 303/357, or LR44 batteries (not included).

It is recommended to use SR44 or Duracell 303/357 batteries over the LR44 batteries. You will get better performance and longer battery life with Silver Oxide batteries.

Powering On the Energy Cell

Simply insert the (2) two batteries. The LED should light up immediately. Insert the batteries with the positive (the flat side) of the battery facing up. If you look inside the battery holder you should see (+) and (-) marks. Positive up, negative down.

Powering Off the Energy Cell

To power off the Energy Cell just remove the (2) two batteries.

You will need a small tool such as a key or paper clip to help to remove the battery. Insert a small tool into the side notch of the Energy Cell and the top battery should pop out. Once the top battery is out the bottom one should fall out easily.

Assembly/Disassembly

Place the batteries into the LED/battery insert, then insert it into the shell (the white shell with a black bottom). Then place the shell into the cylinder. Then open the Westar 88 and place the Energy Cell into the blaster. The tolerances will be tight. Depending on your particular print some light sanding may be required on the rear notch to ensure a smooth placement.

Reverse the process to disassemble.
